WCAT’s communicable disease prevention plan
WCAT’s Communicable Disease Prevention Plan (CDP Plan) includes safety measures to prevent any risk of exposure to communicable diseases. WCAT will continue to update this plan as we receive guidance from WorkSafeBC (as the regulator) and the Public Health Office.
Some of the measures we are taking include:
- Ensuring staff perform daily health checks before coming to work and staying home when they are sick
- Educating staff on WCAT’s CDP Plan
- Requesting visitors not to attend in-person hearing if they are sick
As we learn about communicable diseases, the effectiveness of governments’ responses, and new innovative ways of working, WCAT will continue to adapt its approach, consistent with these principles, while keeping employees’ and clients’ safety as its top priority.
In-person hearings
If you are visiting WCAT for an in-person hearing, please review the In-Person Hearing Participant Information Sheet before attending your hearing.
