WCAT Announces New Website – WCAT is pleased to announce the launch of a new website at this location in
December 2009. Although we had originally planned to introduce the new website on November 3, 2009, it has been delayed due to some technical issues.
Our new website will provide visitors with easy access to clear and accurate information, including information in other languages. We have added new content, used plain language, simplified navigation, improved ‘decision search’, and made it easier to find information.
With the new features, visitors to the site will be able to:
- Easily find WCAT’s Manual of Rules of Practice and Procedure
- Get help filling in the most commonly used WCAT forms
- Get updated content automatically
- Watch a “virtual tour” of WCAT
- Follow an appeal through the entire process
- Prepare for an oral hearing
- Prepare a written submission
- Conduct research easily
WCAT has also revised the Appeal Guide. Instead of one guide and other public information documents, there are now eleven guides: Worker’s and Employer’s Guides to Appealing Review Division Decisions, Respondent’s Guide, Oral Hearing and Written Submissions Guides, Medical Evidence Guide, Post-Decision Guide, Judicial Review Guide, Legal Action Guide and Worker’s and Employer’s Direct Information Guides. Several of the guides are also available in other languages.
